school sucks
Trying to take time to relax and forget about… grad school, getting a job, paying off loans, paying bills, working, staying in shape, GMAT, LSAT, and homework. Instead of all that ^^^^^^ Pandora is serenading me sweet tunes similar to Bon Iver, catching up on some inspiring quotes, talking with some friends, eating, and letting my eyes close without the anxiety of a to do list. if I...

can't think of a good title
it has been a while since I have blogged, I guess I have been a little busy. school has started up again and with it comes many obligations. funny enough I have decided to add more to my plate. I recently watched a TEDtalk about trying something new for 30 days. basically it can be anything and the point is to be conscious of time as it passes. how we use our time and what we use it on is usually...

whats up with that
so i was at work the other morning when my boss came downstairs with two scarves in her hand. she starting asking which one looked better along with some other advise. I said, the red one looks good. she just snarled at me and said she wasn’t there for my advise. she wanted to know what the other supervisor, who is gay mind you, thought about them. so what the heck, why can’t straight...

Whoa
It has been a while since I have posted anything. Don’t ask me why that is. I have been back from France for about a month and a half now. Since then I have turned 21, moved into my own house, finished a summer class, started working out, and have really enjoyed my summer. It is crazy that it is already almost over. I don’t want it to end, but then school will start and I will only...

Memorial day weekend.
So i was born on memorial day 21 years ago. My mom was watching regis and kathie lee and the memorial day parade or something. Now it reminds her of me every-year! It was a great birthday weekend. Went to kansas city to go to a friends wedding and it turned out to be amazing. Then came home and got to hang out with the family for a day. Sadly it’s back to the real life and homework and work....

Paris you've been great.
Won’t forget fancy pants from the concert last night, he was the bomb and i’ve never seen a DJ dressed so good and been such a good entertainer. Tonight was sad but enlightening. another great night at the spot but sadly one of the last. Paris has been a great character-builder and eye opener. Can’t wait to get home and see my family, friends, and dog. This has been the longest...

Starving!
So what do you eat when you run out of money in Paris? PB&J’s, they are keeping me alive right now. A big thanks to whoever thought of this masterpiece!

Inspiring Recovery  →
A woman after my own heart. Recovering from a gun shot to the head she has been on a road to recovery. After being cleared to travel to see her astronaut husband take off into space she reacted with a fist-pump and a single word: “Awesome.”

Welcome Home
In a few shorts days, 10 to be exact, my feet will be back on American soil. I’m very grateful for all the experiences I’ve had with my friends over here and will surely miss it. I’m also a little anxious to get home though to see my family, friends, and my 4 legged fur-ball. I don’t really know what to say in this blog post besides the obvious. Of course I’ll miss...

An Update.
Hey friends, Paris is beautiful lately. Everything has been going swimmingly and I’m having a blast. Weather in the mid 70’s and no class until May 2nd. This is my second spring break and I really and starting to think I never want to leave here. This half of the semester has been so much different than the first half and I don’t know what to think of it. The better weather...

This is an awesome website. I recently discovered it and have been devouring everything on it since. I can’t wait to get home and start training for the Tulsa Tough bike race in June. I’ve been lazy here in Paris and am ready to be active again!

Ce Weekend...
… has been nothing but awesome so far. Going to Bar des Familles four nights in a row, watching the Masters unfold and a golfer MY age in the lead, beautiful weather, all in Paris. It’s unreal and I still think I won’t appreciate it until it’s gone. One month and two days left in this Paradise, and then back to my home and friends. The adventure won’t stop once I get...

Yo there!
(will always love the view from my window) It’s been a while since I’ve posted I realized today. A lot has changed in the past couple of weeks in my attitude and feelings about Paris. I used to not like Paris that much not to lie. It is a huge city and I’m not used to that. I grew in a small town Oklahoma where I drove everyday to get anywhere. Everything I needed was either...

Its Been A While
This blog thing is not going exactly as I planned I will admit. I wanted to post every time something new and exciting happened, but that would entail endless blog posts! I just got back on Monday night from a great week and a half of traveling. I can now say that I’ve been to three continents, only 4 left! I started off my spring break by going to Morocco with my study abroad program. It...

The Past Couple Weeks
Yo, tumblrs. It has been a very busy last couple weeks and I haven’t wrote anything in a while. I’m having tons of fun and recently visited London and Normandy. I won’t get into the deets, but I’ll just say it was tons of fun. Normandy was amazing especially to see where a great battle was fought. The trip was ISA sponsored and so 56 other students were on the trip with...

Barcelona was amazing. It was the perfect place to take my first trip in Europe. A few friends and I who don’t have class thursday and Friday went there together for a few nights. I never realized how scenic Barcelona was, actually to admit i really knew nothing about the city. I’m even a little jealous that Alice Haney gets to study there all semester. Barcelona has some amazing...

The Last of the Old Posts
Paris. A city of lights and love and everything in between I guess. Most of those in between things you can see on the metro everyday like the guys who dance like a robot for 5 minutes straight and then get of the metro and walk like a robot all the way home. Or hearing Michael Jackson all over the radios and in restaurants, they love him over here. Also heard some Stevie Wonder being sung by...

A Lazy Sunday Post
Forewarning I’ll just be posting a few pictures this post. Not to much has happened over the past week besides classes and hanging out. Classes are actually not to much to stress about this semester. Next week I will be going to a museum, watching a movie, and eating cheese and drinking wine…all for class. Studying abroad, what a novel idea. I hate wordpress by the way, don’t blog with...

Jetlag, the tribe has spoke, please leave.
The title pretty explains it all. I’ll wake up around 4 and not really go back to sleep at all. Basically I am just taking a lot of little naps throughout the day. If it doesn’t go away after a couple of weeks then I will get some meds, but it’s alright. Yesterday I think it was we took a magnificent tour of the Montmartre area of Paris. Originally it was its own little town of sorts where...
